A must see attraction for visitors to Cape Cod and is a great rainy day stop!
Opened in 1885, The Woods Hole Science Aquarium (WHSA) is small public aquarium that displays approximately 140 species of marine animals found in Northeast and Middle-Atlantic U.S. waters. You’ll find tanks of marine life are on both floors including a touch tank on the second floor that is filled with starfish, sea-purses, small fish, crabs and more. There is also an interactive display for Marine Sounds, a larger than life sea turtle display and a ships wheel to try out.
The aquarium is open 12 months a year and is one of the glittering jewels of the world renowned village of Woods Hole. It’s the oldest marine aquarium in the country is operated by NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service, and is one of myriad marine research facilities known and respected worldwide.

Closed federal holidays.
Admission is free, donations are accepted in the main foyer.
