Located at Cape Cod National Seashore, Cahoon Hollow features one of the Cape Cod’s most striking cliff landscapes and is accentuated with massive dunes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. This popular beach is best known as “Beachcomber” beach for it’s close proximity to the seasonal favorite restaurant – The Beachcomber. The beach is also known for surfing. Water temperature is in the high 50s to low 60s in the Summer. Expect large numbers of people in their late teens, twenties and thirties, with a smaller number of families and older adults in the mix.
Attendants on duty. Volleyball is available. Scary dune walk down to beach, but has rope to hold on to. Limited disabled access. Two options for parking.
Drivers with either a Wellfleet Beach Sticker or a Beachcomber Parking Pass are be allowed to utilize the lot free of charge, while others have to pay a $20 dollar fee, in return for which the will receive a $20 Beachcomber Restaurant voucher.
