Dachshunds, pet lovers and wiener-wannabes gather for a day of fun and frolic on Cape Cod at the 12th Annual Cape Cod Doxie Day! Dachshund races and parade, a dachshund café, silent auction and raffle. Enter to win prizes for longest dachshund, teeniest weenie and more! Cape Cod’s 99.9 The Q will be there with music, games and prizes, unique vendors, food truck and more. Bring along packaged pet food and kitty litter for local shelters. All well-behaved, on leash dogs are welcome. Admission is free with plenty of free parking. Rain date is Sunday, September 29th.
The Cape Cod British Car Club’s British Legends Weekend is rapidly becoming the premier car event for British automobiles. An annual three-day celebration of British motoring packed with events, tech sessions and comradeship of all things British. Fireworks, a parade, crafts fair, fun rides and games, sand sculpture contest, a bonfire at Smuggler’s Beach, a 5k road race, pie eating contest and more are packed into two days! This festival has been a local and vacationer’s favorite for 40 years and just keeps getting bigger and better! Perfect for kids. Great food! Includes an entertainment tent.
Beautiful and unique glass pumpkins will abound at this year’s PumpkinFest, held on the grounds of the Sandwich Glass Museum. All for sale! Each one is unique – ranging from the petite to rather large scale and in hues from the classic orange to multi-color. There will be an exciting and tempting array. Free to attend!
The Wellfleet OysterFest is an annual celebration of the town’s famous oysters, clams and its deep-rooted shell fishing traditions. Wellfleet’s town center comes alive for this two-day family festival that brings together locals and visitors for a weekend full of food, art, music, fun and games. Sorry, no pets or outside alcohol allowed. All bags are subject to search.
