The Scoop:
Finally got to Fin. Very happy to have done so. Nice room(s).

Pros:
Appetizers were great! Tuna tartare, and baked chatham littlenecks, would go back for them. Main courses well done also. Scallops with fish roe and Flounder were nicely prepared. Dessert was winner as well.

The Scoop:
It gets better and better What an amazing meal. We reserved the top table near the stairs for comfort. Our res was at 7:30. Karen was our amazing waitress. Kate had the Yellow Fin Tuna TartareWasabi-Yuzu Emulsion, Avocado, Sesame Seeds, Cilantro,Togarashi, Lotus Root Chips$14 and the Mixed Petite Heirloom Lettuces Asian Pear, Goat Cheese, Marcona Almonds, Verjus Vinaigrette $9. Michael had Grilled Atlantic Swordfish Red Wheat Berries, Caramelized Brussels Sprout, Walnuts, Root Vegetable-Veal Glace $28 and I had the pistachio encrusted soft shell crabs with fiddleheads and Japanese salad for $26. Karen chose our wine, a 2010 New Harbor Sauvignon Blanc , New Zealand $9. The evening was laid back, the dining room was subdued and comfortable and the evening was really enjoyable. I love Fin.

Chef Martha Kane and bartender, Tina and Karen and all the great waitstaff

Cons:

The Scoop:
My date and I secured a 6:15 reservation. We typically enjoy dining later but they were full. When we arrived the place was bustling. I have been to this location when it was Marguerites and then Gracie's Table. The owners brightened up the spot to my liking. We were welcomed by the host and bus boy, Neil. We were seated in a two top in between two others. I prefer a quieter intimate experience. This proved not to be the case. Noise level is an issue here. If you mind that factor be aware. Our server from start to finish was friendly and accommodating. The table setting is lovely. My date chose rib eye and I chose the poached lobster. I had asked for light on the butter. My date's roasted beets were amazing. He found the rib eye dry and not the best cut of meat. it was slightly overcooked but he said, fine. My lobster was cooked to perfection. I was glad I asked for light butter because this dish was swimming in glistening butter. I ate the top of my risotto (the menu listed jasmine rice but I am fairly certain it was Aborio rice) as the butter was quite heavy. What a delicious risotto, perfectly cooked. The pea shoots were hard to eat without using one's hands, so I did. I didn't love the hearts of palm or the champagne gelee but again, the presentation was flawless. We enjoyed our wines very well (11.00 each) and skipped dessert. I am excited the Dennis dining scene has diversity and Fin certainly adds a fresh look. I wish the owners much success. We always enjoy trying new places and enjoyed Fin.

Cons:
loud and tight seating
