The Scoop:We visited the Pearl after a steamy beach day. It's a great spot across from Wellfleet harbor. We sat inside to cool down but there's a neat looking roofdeck and also some outdoor seating where the band was playing.
Pros:Nice selection of beachy apps and fun cocktails. We split oysters, littlenecks. The lobster artichoke dip was nice treat, as was the tuna with wasabi!
The Scoop:Jillian and I and her family went to Frying Pan Gallery's open house (fabulous gallery). We had intentions to dine at Mac's Shack but the wait was 1+ hours. We headed to Pearl where there was no wait to sit outside in the enclosed area. It was a bit chilly but comfy. We had the same waitress we had July 4th. I regret I cannot recall her name. I love this spot..great wines, raw bar, fairly priced menu and great vibe. Jillian and I had the fish tacos. Our table shared a tuna sashimi app that was the star of the meal. We are not sure what made the edges crispy, but wow. Our tuna taco was flawless. It was filled with crispy flaky cod (not my fav fish but it was fine), plenty of slaw, avocado sauce and chopped tomatoes. Great flavors. The homemade potato chips were sublime. I had a bite of Madison's fried scallops..totally succulent. The house red blend for 6.00 was a steal. Cheers to great dining in W'Fleet.
The Scoop:Stopped in for 2 pound lobster specials..were seated on the roof deck with my DSM..what a night..amazing lobsters, steamers, potatos..veggies, Virgin Mary's...wow...the best lobster (well the best I had was a humungous one in Saba but this was pretty wow).....this place is as good as it gets if you can snag the rooftop tables and happen to have a great honey to dine with..the food enhances it all...bliss
The Scoop:Nice ambience for casual restaurant/sports bar. Will give the Bookstore some good competition.
Pros:Renovated and upgraded the old Capt Higgins restaurant at the Marina. Very well done & good service.
Cons:Don't serve Black & Tans (but do have Cape Cod Beer on tap).
